The Lungarotti Group was founded in ’62 and in a few years became a social-economic point of reference that transformed Umbria into an enologically qualified region. The company maintains a strong family imprint respecting the values that hold together history, tradition and territory, and is run by the sisters Chiara Lungarotti and Teresa Severini.

The two sisters ably managing the diversified "Lungarotti Universe" with its many projects and entrepreneurial activities, a challenge that requires a broad range of skills to master and that always seeks to bring out the best in the company and showcase the many qualities of Umbria.

Lungarotti holdings include 250 hectares of company-owned vineyards plus more than 40 hectares on lease in the municipality of Torgiano, as well as 20 more hectares in Montefalco. As early as 1968 - thanks to Lungarotti - the Torgiano area earns the DOC appellation, followed by the DOCG one in 1990

The company currently produces over 3 million bottles of wine per year with a cellar capacity of 85,000 hl of which 7,200 in casks and evocative cellars for bottle refining and sparkling wines, and employs 135 people.
